El tatuaje en la piel del miedo de Javier Vásconez

Abstract

The present work: the tattoo on the skin of fear of Javier Vásconez, proposes three points of analysis: the tattoo and its history in literature (proposed by Ganter) materialized through an anthropological analysis. From Polynesia via New Zealand and the boom that has globally, tattooing has its history. As the next point and aware of the social stigma that still hangs over the tattoo, the tattoo board presence as a mark or sign of identity and of course a brand new aesthetic sensibility; which later will be equated to society by Vásconez and in which the story unfolds. Together with the above issues in this text we will refer to specific issues in the plot of the story, such as the body, fear and violence. Third, analyze the work from the body marks the social body stigmatized from the literary perspective of the novel, this shows a semiotic analysis to which we will emphasize the characters of Jorge Ramon and dad George, as their conflict and worldview they deserve to be mentioned in this work. Finally, we inquire about the problem of tattoo in the social field and the double view that this proposed tattooed subject and society that observes. Masks and ink on the skin characters fear are issues to be analyzed semiotically.
