Abstract: | Objective: - To determine the stress level of nursing students during their residency at the Vicente Corral Moscoso Hospital during 2015.
Methods and Materials: - The study was quantitative and used a descriptive method. The sample consisted of 105 nursing interns from the University of Cuenca. Who did their hospital rotations at the Vicente Corral Moscoso Hospital. The collection of the information was in a direct way through the application of Maslach Burnout Inventory Scale (MBI). The information was processed through SPSS 15.0 and Excel, the result were presented in tables of frequency and percentages.
Results:- from the total of the samples according to the levels of stress way relation to the parameters of value scale, the following result were found: in emotional fatigue 47.5% presented a moderate level of stress and 41,9% presented a high level of stress. From the total of interns, 54,3% suffered from high stress level and 25,7% suffered moderate levels of stress. In terms of personal development it has been observed that 74,3% of the total interns had high levels of stress, where has 9,5% had low levels of stress.
Conclusions: though these study significant differences among the stress value scale were found among the nursing interns as a result it is suggested to take preventative measures to decrease stress levels during the hospital rotations.

Description: | Objetivo:- Determinar el nivel de estrés en estudiantes de enfermería durante el Internado Rotativo Integral en el Hospital Vicente Corral Moscoso 2015.
Métodos y materiales:- El estudio fue cuantitativo de tipo descriptivo. La muestra estuvo conformado por 105 internas/os de Enfermería que realizaron su Internado hospitalario en el Hospital Vicente Corral Moscoso. 2015 pertenecientes a la Universidad de Cuenca. La recolección de la información fue de manera directa, mediante la aplicación de la Escala de Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI). La información se procesó mediante los programas SPSS 15.0 y Excel, los resultados se presentaron en tablas con frecuencias y porcentajes.
Resultados:- Del total de la muestra según el nivel de estrés en relación con los parámetros de valoración de la Escala se encontró: en Cansancio Emocional que el 45.7% presenta un nivel de estrés moderado y el 41,9% con estrés alto. En Despersonalización se aprecia que del total de internos/as en estudio el 54.3% sufre de estrés alto y con un estrés moderado el 25.7%. Con respecto a la Realización Personal se observa que del total de internos/as con estrés alto el 74.3% y con estrés bajo el 9.5%.
Conclusiones:- Se encontró diferencias significativas entre los parámetros de valoración de la Escala de Maslach y sus dimensiones entre los grupos de estudio, lo cual sugiere tomar medidas preventivas para disminuir el estrés durante el año de internado hospitalario.
