Abstract: | This study took a population of 135 neonates with ABO incompatibility maternal and child Vicente Corral Moscoso Hospital of Cuenca, between the November 1, 1999 and May 31, 2000, it was established that 37 percent of patients developed the box isoinmuniación mediated with the appearance of jaundice, the prevalence of ABO incompatibility is 6 percent, also determined that infants are small for gestational age term of the most frequently develop the isoinmuniación [20 percent], followed by infants appropriate for gestational age term with 13.3 percent; the most common blood group in the mother was the type O with 61.4 percent and in neonates was the type A with 63 percent, so the mother-child ABO incompatibility was the most frequent type OA with 50.4 percent [ 68 patients] of which 33.8 percent developed jaundice in the first 48 hours. With regard to medical conduct adopted against mother-child ABO incompatibility; The observation was made in 83.7 percent [113 patients] of which 28 developed jaundice no complications, phototherapy was performed in 14.8 percent [20 patients] of which three suffered mild dehydration and one had hypoglycemia, there were no complications directly related to the onset of jaundice Isoimmunization. |
Description: | El presente estudio tomó una población de 135 neonatos con incompatibilidad ABO materno-infantil del Hospital Vicente Corral Moscoso de la ciudad de Cuenca, comprendido entre el 1 de noviembre de 1999 y 31 de mayo del 2000, se estableció que un 37 por ciento de los pacientes desarrolló el cuadro de isoinmuniación mediado con la aparición de ictericia, que la prevalencia de la incompatibilidad ABO es del 6 por ciento, además, se determinó que son los recién nacidos a término pequeños para la edad gestacional de los que más frecuentemente desarrollan la isoinmuniación [20 por ciento], seguido de los recién nacidos a término adecuados para la edad gestacional con un 13.3 por ciento; el grupo de sangre más frecuente en la madre fue el tipo O con 61.4 por ciento y en los neonatos fue el tipo A con 63 por ciento, por lo cual la incompatibilidad ABO materno-infantil más frecuente fue el tipo O-A con 50.4 por ciento [68 pacientes] de los cuales el 33.8 por ciento desarrollo ictericia en las primeras 48 horas. Con relación a la conducta médica adoptada frente a la incompatibilidad ABO materno infantil; la observación se realizó en 83.7 por ciento [113 pacientes] de los cuales 28 desarrollaron ictericia sin presentar ninguna complicación, la fototerapia se realizó en 14.8 por ciento [20 pacientes] de los que tres sufrieron deshidratación moderada y uno presentó hipoglucemia, no existieron complicaciones directamente relacionadas con la aparición de ictericia por isoinmunización. |
