Abstract: | This study was conducted in 515 patients attending obstetric labor in the service of Gynecology and Obstetrics Hospital Vicente Corral Moscoso, Cuenca in the period May 1999-April 2000. This being descriptive of cross section. Depth research on the subject in the literature previously made. I was raised as a general objective to describe the clinical and epidemiological characteristics that relate to difficult births in HVCM; Cone obtaining results of 3,054 births in the period indicated, the 16.86 percent corresponded to difficult births, and of these, 35.34 percent were at risk age [under 20, over 35], the 63.88 percent had less than 1.50 cm height, 29.1 percent proceeded to rural areas and 70.9 percent in urban areas. The distribution by number of prenatal visits showed that 58.8 percent fewer than five controls were carried out, which also indicates a risk factor. Depending on the type of dystocia 43.69 percent corresponded to the mother, the fetal 40.19 percent, and 10.49 to DCP. fetal dystocia the 58.85 percent corresponded to abnormal presentations; with a fetal mortality rate of 2.71 |
Description: | El presente estudio se realizó en 515 pacientes obstétricas que acudieron en labor de parto al Servicio de Gineco-Obstetricia del Hospital Vicente Corral Moscoso, Cuenca en el período Mayo 1999-Abril 2000. Siendo este de tipo descriptivo de corte transversal. Se realizó previamente una investigación profunda sobre el tema en la bibliografía existente. Se planteo como objetivo general describir las características clínicas y epidemiológicas que se relacionan con los partos distócicos en el H.V.C.M.; Obteniendose cono resultados que de los 3.054 partos atendidos en el período señalado, el 16.86 por ciento correspondieron a partos distócicos, y de éstos el 35.34 por ciento estuvieron en edad de riesgo [menores de 20, mayores de 35], el 63.88 por ciento tuvieron una talla inferior a 1.50 cm, el 29.1 por ciento procedió al área rural y el 70.9 por ciento del área urbana. La distribución según número de controles prenatales arrojó que el 58.8 por ciento se realizaron menos de cinco controles, lo que indica también un factor de riesgo. Según el tipo de distocia el 43,69 por ciento, correspondieron a las maternas, el 40.19 por ciento a fetales, y el 10.49 a DCP. de las distocias fetales el 58.85 por ciento correspondieron a presentaciones anormales; con una tasa de mortalidad fetal de 2.71 |
