| Abstract: | The effects on the evolution climacteric man his wife, has received attention, however, not always openly, carrying less determination in the overview. A descriptive study was conducted proactive based on a structured survey on knowledge, attitudes and consequences against modification through natural menopause your spouse, with the participation of 220 apparently healthy men between 45 and 59 years, in the urban area of the city of Cuenca, by selecting as the place of residence. It was found that the average age of the participants and their wives was 51.2 years and 49.2 years, respectively. Distinguished the predominant effects are presented in the sexual plane, followed by interpersonal and emotional. | Description: | Los efectos en el hombre por la evolución climatérica en su esposa, ha recibido atención, sin embargo, no siempre abiertamente, llevando una menor determinación en la visión global. Se realizó un estudio descriptivo y propositivo con base en una encuesta estructurada sobre conocimientos, actitudes y consecuencias frente a las modificaciones por la menopausia natural de su cónyuge, con la participación de 220 hombres aparentemente sanos, entre los 45 y 59 años de edad, en el área urbana de la ciudad de Cuenca, mediante la selección según el lugar de residencia. Se encontró que la media de edad de los participantes y sus esposas fue 51,2 años y 49,2 años, respectivamente. Se distinguió que los efectos predominantes se presentan más en el plano sexual, seguido del interpersonal y del emocional. Dentro de las consecuencias en los elementos de la vida sexual, el 43relacionó preocupación por la satisfacción de las relaciones; en lo interpersonal, se observó que hasta el 40,5refirió estar afectada la armonía de pareja, en tanto que respecto a las modificaciones en el ámbito emocional, el 37indicó que los cambios enlazan cierto grado de ansiedad |
