Abstract: | Our main objective is to determine the emotional reactions and behaviors of patients undergone Mastectomy. It is a qualitative study, explorative of fundamental theory, narrative and its universe are 6 patients older than 18 years old, entered at the Hospital Jose Carrasco Arteaga on the year 2014, selected by convenience and saturation, the technique that we had used were life histories and the instrument, the semi structured interview. We used the software Atlas Ti, to process the information.
The notice of a possible or real mastectomy leads emotions; fear to die, sadness and cry at losing an organ that represent feminine naturally, depression, for who were mothers, they children were their motivation and principal preoccupation. Who had finished their function of raise and feed their children, the breast represents a little comparing with to die, in case of a complication after the mastectomy. The fear that the patients express the moment they find out increased without information, developing curiosity of each procedure, for each medical word unknown, 3 patients referred need of the information about the pathology.
The episodes of depression, increased after they body visualization, the impact that cause the loss of their breast, by insignificant it looks, change the general perspective of life.
Finally, the acceptance of surgery becomes in a positive indicator for each patient, but at the same time it is evidence in 3 women, that impulse us to find a way to get the same and ameliorate the quality of health in each human been. |
Description: | Nuestro objetivo principal es conocer las reacciones emocionales y comportamientos en pacientes post mastectomizadas. Es un estudio cualitativo, exploratorio, de teoría fundamentada, narrativo, cuyo universo está constituido por 6 pacientes mayores a 18 años, ingresadas en el Hospital José Carrasco Arteaga en el año 2014, seleccionadas por conveniencia y saturación. La técnica que se utilizó fue; historias de vida y el instrumento; la entrevista semiestructurada. El software informático Atlas Ti procesó la información.
La noticia de una posible o real mastectomía acarrea diversos sentimientos; miedo a morir, tristeza, llanto al perder un órgano que representa feminidad por naturaleza, para aquellas que ya eran madres, sus hijos eran su motivación y principal preocupación. Quienes ya cumplieron su función de criar y alimentar a sus hijo/as el seno representaba poco en comparación con la posibilidad de muerte, en caso de complicaciones post mastectomía. El miedo que expresan las pacientes sentir el momento de enterarse se incrementa con la falta de información, desarrollando curiosidad por cada procedimiento, por cada palabra médica desconocida, 3 pacientes sienten necesidad de conocer sobre su patología. Los episodios depresivos, se intensifican luego de su visualización corporal, el impacto al perder una mama, cambia la perspectiva general de vida.
Finalmente, la aceptación de la cirugía se convierte en un indicador positivo para cada paciente, pero la misma se evidencia en 3 mujeres, lo que nos impulsa a encontrar una forma de llegar a la misma para mejorar la calidad en la salud de cada ser humano. |
