Abstract
The present work aims to develop the configuration of spaces of "resistance" in Latin America, after the fall of the Berlin Wall and the dissolution of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR), which meant the end of the bipolar geopolitical globally, and the global dominance of neoliberalism in the hands of U.S. imperialism.
The resistances in Latin America represent various social actors and claims, but all of them come together in an anti-neoliberal program thought from the South; the construction of paradigms rooted in our context is defined as the only possibility of a decent future for humanity.
Equally, we propose the "critical resistance" as an epistemological and political attitude of rejection of neoliberalism, which should allow the construction of alternatives against neoliberalism, based in social, political, economic and epistemological criteria. The new political projects, guided by hope, have to recognize the “alterity” as identity of the countries of South, with the idea that "another world is possible".
Resumen
El presente trabajo tiene como objeto desarrollar la configuración de espacios de “resistencia” en América Latina, posterior a la caída del Muro de Berlín y de la disolución de la Unión de Repúblicas Socialistas Soviéticas (URSS) que significó el fin de la bipolaridad geopolítica a nivel global, y el dominio mundial del neoliberalismo en manos del imperialismo norteamericano.
Las resistencias en Latinoamérica representan diversos sujetos y reivindicaciones, pero a la postre confluyen en una unidad programática de proyectos políticos antineoliberales desde el Sur; la construcción de paradigmas arraigados en nuestro contexto se ha definido como única posibilidad de un futuro digno para la humanidad.
Por igual, buscamos proponer la “resistencia crítica” como una actitud epistemológica y política de rechazo al neoliberalismo, que debe permitir el planteamiento de alternativas al neoliberalismo sustentadas en criterios sociales, políticos, económicos y epistemológicos, que reconozcan la alteridad como identidad de los países del Sur, guiados –además– por la esperanza y la idea de que “Otro mundo es posible”.
