Identificación de anticuerpos de anemia infecciosa equina en las escuelas hípicas del Cantón Cuenca

Abstract

The present investigation was aimed at “ANTIBODY IDENTIFICATION OF EQUINE INFECTIOUS ANEMIA IN CANTON SCHOOL EQUESTRIAN BASIN”, samples were obtained through random sampling technique, taking into account sex, age, origin, and utility zootechnical. Blood samples collected were processed in the laboratories of the National Institute of Public Health Research. For the detection of antibodies to equine infectious anemia laboratory test agar gel immuno diffusion (Coggins test) were used, with a population of 50%, of these 115 samples were obtained, of which no positive animals were found in 0% the 6 most important equestrian schools Cuenca. The present study aims to teachers, students, veterinarians, horse owners and breeders, the importance of the IEA disease, revealing HIV status, and to prevent disease.
