El primer capítulo describe el estilo, la trayectoria y el lenguaje musical de Monk. El segundo capítulo profundiza en el Blues, el Swing, el Rhythm Changes y recursos característicos de los temas: Blue Sphere, Bolivar Blues, Let´s cool one, Eronel, Humph y Rhythm a Ning desde una perspectiva del análisis musical.The current research propose to apply the representative resources of the musical aesthetics of Thelonious Monk through adaptations of his compositions for the format of a jazz quintet.
