Método y Técnica: Estudio experimental, aleatorizado con doble ciego. Muestra estratificada por grupo de intervención y cargo, aplicación pre y post test. Grupo control aleatorizado en enero/2012. Instrumentos: dos formularios producidos por la autora: 1ero cuestionario sobre conocimientos validado: Alfa de Cronbach 83%, significancia 0,000; actitud de utilización de la mecánica corporal validado: Alfa de Cronbach 86%, significancia 0,000. 2do evaluó: su aplicación práctica alcanzó Alfa de Cronbach 94% significancia 0,000. Evaluación pre/post test Wilcoxon en ambos=P>0,05. Universo y Muestra: Universo 301 personal de enfermería. Muestra calculada con Epi Info=109+21 personas=19% de posibles pérdidas, la intervención educativa mantuvo 5 bloques, 25 personas de lunes a jueves y 30 personas viernes. Resultados En datos basales ambos grupos presentan una P/Fisher >0,05. Los resultados alcanzados luego de concluido el programa educativo fue: Conocimientos 39,65% con P (Fisher) 0,000, Actitudes 22,12% P(Fisher) 0,039 y la Práctica 55,86% con P(Fisher) 0,000, se comprobó la H1.auObjective: To develop an educational program on body mechanics with the methodological support of the constructivist model, Infirmary Staff, José Carrasco Arteaga Hospital IESS/2011.
