This is where the role of VANET networks can intervene with the goal of reducing and trying to avoid this type of accidents. A VANET network provides connection between a vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V), vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I) or a hybrid combination between these two, allowing a wide variety of safety, traffic management and assistance applications with safety precautions for drivers.
