Se implementaron metodologías participativas, incluyendo talleres con la comunidad con los actores locales, para garantizar que las estrategias propuestas reflejen las necesidades y aspiraciones locales. El proyecto busca fomentar el desarrollo económico sostenible, mejorar la calidad de vida de los habitantes y conservar el patrimonio cultural de la parroquia. Los resultados muestran un alto potencial turístico en Güel, destacando la necesidad de infraestructura adecuada, capacitación y promoción efectiva para atraer visitantes y consolidar la parroquia como un destino turístico emergente en la región.This paper addresses the updating of the Tourism Development Plan for the rural parish of Güel, located in the canton of Sígsig, province of Azuay. The main objective is to promote local tourism by identifying and valuing tourist attractions, both natural and cultural. Participatory methodologies, including community workshops with local actors, were implemented to ensure that the proposed strategies reflect local needs and aspirations. The project seeks to promote sustainable economic development, improve the quality of life of the inhabitants and conserve the cultural heritage of the parish.
