Cuenca, como Atenas del Ecuador, con gran afluencia turística exige un buen manejo de datos que aporten en su desarrollo, de esta manera, se planteó el proyecto de intervención “Levantamiento del catastro de establecimientos turísticos del Centro Histórico de la ciudad de Cuenca, Ecuador, 2021” que reveló la realidad actual de los establecimientos que conforman un sector significativo de la ciudad. Se agregó al estudio una base de datos georreferenciada de los establecimientos que forman parte del nuevo catastro con un breve análisis del mismo; que servirá de soporte para estudios y proyectos futuros; teniendo como resultado final del proyecto un nuevo Catastro Turístico del Centro Histórico de Cuenca “Catastro Turístico CH 2021” y un mapa georeferencial del mismo.
