Esto se logrará mediante la identificación de los servicios turísticos disponibles para este segmento, los cuales permitirán obtener información acerca de la realidad de este sector. Para ello se aplicará una metodología cualitativa y cuantitativa; la primera implica la realización de entrevistas, observación, análisis y comparaciones con otros estudios, mientras que la segunda se relaciona con la aplicación de una encuesta estructurada. La metodología pretende determinar el número de establecimientos dirigidos hacia este segmento de mercado y ver si su desarrollo aporta a la economía local. Además, permitirá conocer sobre la reacción y apertura de la población en Cuenca hacia este segmento de mercado.The current research will generate information that allows to know the development and growth of the touristic offer for the LGTBI segment in the city of Cuenca. This will be accomplished by identifying the touristic services available for this segment, which will allow to obtain information about the reality of this sector. In order to complete this, a qualitative and quantitative methodology will be applied; the first one involves interviews, observation, analysis and comparisons with other studies, while the second one relates to a structured survey application. The methodology aims to determine the number of establishments directed toward this market segment and determine if their development contributes to the local economy.
