El objetivo del estudio fue determinar la prevalencia de sobrepeso y obesidad asociada a factores y comorbilidades en trabajadores del Grupo Industrial Graiman, Cuenca, 2023. Se realizó un estudio analítico transversal con un IC 95% en 979 trabajadores que laboraron en el Grupo Industrial Graiman, Cuenca, durante el periodo enero – agosto 2023. Se utilizó una base de datos con acceso al historial clínico de los trabajadores y se analizó en el programa SPSS v. 20. Se empleó estadística descriptiva, determinando relaciones mediante chi cuadrado con significancia estadística p<0,05. Los resultados obtenidos mostraron una prevalencia de sobrepeso del 47,6% y 19,7% de obesidad. La hipercolesterolemia total y la hipertrigliceridemia fueron las comorbilidades más presentes, con un 42%y 41,2%, respectivamente, donde más de la mitad tuvieron sobrepeso y obesidad. Se determinó que el ser hombre, tener una edad mayor a 40 años y ocupar el cargo laboral transportista se asocia a una mayor probabilidad de padecer sobrepeso u obesidad, siendo esto estadísticamente significativo.The prevalence of overweight and obesity has maintained an upward trend over the years, constituting a serious problem worldwide, increasing morbidity and mortality, and at the same time, a significant economic expense for a country since it affects the social, economic and occupational development of the individual. The objective of the study was to determine the prevalence of overweight and obesity associated to factors and comorbidities in workers of the Graiman Industrial Group, Cuenca, 2023. A cross-sectional analytical study was carried out with a 95% CI in 979 workers who worked at the Graiman Industrial Group, Cuenca, during the period January - August 2023. A database with access to the clinical history of the workers was used and it was analyzed in the SPSS v. 20 program. Descriptive statistics were used, determining relationships by means of chi-square with statistical significance p<0,05. The results obtained showed a prevalence of 47.6% overweight and 19.7% obesity. Total hypercholesterolemia and hypertriglyceridemia were the most common comorbidities, with 42% and 41.2%, respectively, where more than half were overweight and obese.
