Desde aquel año los miembros del Cpccs eran elegidos por concurso de méritos y oposición, pero a raíz del referéndum celebrado el 4 de febrero del 2018, esta modalidad cambió y deberán ser elegidos mediante el mecanismo de democracia directa, para este análisis se ha revisado la Constitución 2008 y las leyes establecidas por parte de los organismos competentes. Además, se abordó la revocatoria en países como Venezuela, Perú, Bolivia, Argentina, Colombia entre otros; donde este tipo de procesos han sido cuestionados por la falta de transparencia de las autoridades. Se ha conocido cuáles son las reacciones que ha generado este tipo de proceso en la sociedad, en el poder legislativo y cómo ha sido visto por parte de otros organismos e incluso algunos expertos ya consideran que esta función denominada el quinto poder el Estado debería ser eliminada o reestructurada.The objective of this research is to study the Revocation of the Mandate of the Council for Citizen Participation and Social Control, this form of cessation was strengthened in the 2008 Constitution, so that through popular vote, citizens can exercise their right in the appointment of their authorities.
