En el proceso judicial a través del análisis de cinco juicios se pudo evidenciar elementos de valor simbólico como el honor, el estatuto de sangre, el posicionamiento social y económico, que eran de relevancia para el juzgamiento y el dictamen de la autoridad. A su vez también se percibieron estrategias de blanqueamiento social, atribuciones de roles, mecanismos de orden y control social.This investigation addresses the trial process of women belonging to different social spheres for the crime of slander in the colonial Cuenca of 1780-1900. In the judicial process through the analysis of five trials it was possible to demonstrate elements of symbolic value such as honor, blood status, social and economic positioning, which were of relevance for the judgment and authority’s dictum.
