Cuenca. 2015. Material y Método: Esta investigación es de tipo cualitativo y cuantitativo, porque permitió determinar el rendimiento académico de los estudiantes hijos/as de padres migrantes y la influencia que tiene la migración en la misma. Se aplicó una encuesta a adolescentes hijos/as de padres migrantes de la Unidad Educativa Checa. La recolección de información fueron la revisión documental, observación directa y encuestas. Como instrumento un formulario elaborado y validado por las autoras, mediante la prueba piloto. La tabulación y análisis de esta investigación fue por medio de programas estadísticos, Excel y SPSS, los resultados son presentados en tablas. RESULTADOS Los resultados obtenidos son los siguientes: de 182 estudiantes se obtuvo un total de 85 estudiantes hijos/as de padres migrantes representando con 46.7%. Del total de hijos/as de padres migrantes el sexo masculino tiene mayor porcentaje con un 54.12% y el curso con mayor porcentaje que tienen padres migrantes es el noveno con el 13.2% de los cuales el 50.6% viven solo con sus madres evidenciándose más migración de padres. La migración internacional tiene un porcentaje mayoritario de 89.41%. En el Rendimiento Académico tenemos que el 84.7% de estudiantes alcanza los aprendizajes y el 7.1% domina los aprendizajes, el 47.1% de las familias tienen un ingreso del sueldo básico, el 61.2% de adolescentes no tienen ayuda por parte de sus padresObjective: This research has, as the main objective, to investigate the influence of migration on academic performance in adolescent’s children/learners of migrant parents “Unidad Educativa Checa”. Methods: This research is qualitative and quantitative, because it allowed us to determine the academic performance of the children / learners of migrant parents and the influence of migration at the same. A survey was applied to 182 adolescents in their third year of high school who are active in the Checa Education Unit, getting 85 children with migrant parents will study the universe. The techniques used for data collection were document review, direct observation and surveys. As a tool, we use a form developed and validated by the authors, with the implementation of the pilot. The tabulation and analysis of this research was through statistical programs, Excel and SPSS version 15.0 for Windows in Spanish, the results are presented through frequency tables for a better view of the problems encountered in this investigative process.
