El trabajo en un principio, realiza un acercamiento a los conceptos y características de eutanasia y bioética. En ese contexto intenta identificar a la eutanasia y la bioética. A continuación, realiza un breve recorrido de referencias en nuestra legislación. Se transcriben y se interpretan algunas entrevistas realizadas a profesionales del Derecho, y a médicos legistas. Con todo lo expuesto, se propone la inserción de la eutanasia, como institución jurídica. Cierra el trabajo de titulación con las reflexiones, a manera de conclusiones y recomendaciones, en torno a la realidad actual de la eutanasia, en la legislación ecuatoriana.The degree thesis Euthanasia: a legal approach in the light of bioethics, presents an argument in the legal field and in the world of sciences of life and health, as basis of decisions for the achievement of the practice of this legal institution. The work begins with an approach to the concepts and characteristics of euthanasia and bioethics. In this context, it tries to identify euthanasia and bioethics. Then, it makes a brief tour of references in our legislation. It transcribes and interprets some interviews with legal professionals and medical experts. With all the above, the insertion of euthanasia as a legal institution is proposed.
