Item Desarrollo psicomotor de niños y niñas de 0 a 5 años de edad pre y post a un proceso de intervención en estimulación temprana en el Centro de Desarrollo Infantil de la Universidad de Cuenca CEDIUC en el periodo 2016 – 2019(Universidad de Cuenca, 2024-05-30) Perugachi Salcedo, Katia Lisseth; Huiracocha Tutivén, Mirian SofíaEl desarrollo psicomotor es la adquisición de habilidades, donde los primeros 5 años de edad son importantes para captar, y las etapas del desarrollo son fundamentales, para adquirir y fortalecer sus conocimientos. La estimulación temprana tiene como objetivo mejorar la calidad de vida de los niñas y niñas; por tal motivo los procesos de intervención, permiten alcanzar hitos esperados para su edad mejorando su bienestar. Determinar el desarrollo psicomotor de los niños y niñas de 0 a 5 años de edad pre y post a un proceso de intervención en Estimulación Temprana en el Centro de Desarrollo Infantil de la Universidad de Cuenca CEDIUC en el periodo 2016 – 2019”. CUENCA 2021. Estudio descriptivo–retrospectivo de las historias clínicas de niños y niñas que asistieron al Centro de Desarrollo Infantil de la Universidad de Cuenca, en los periodos 2016 -2019. Para el análisis de los datos se utilizó el programa SPSS versión 26 y el programa Excel 2013. En la población estudiada, se puede resolver que después dge un proceso de intervención los pacientes mejoran su edad de desarrollo. Disminuyendo significativamente el número de casos con retraso. Una vez finalizada la investigación, podemos concluir que los niños y niñas que recibieron un proceso de intervención de 6 a 12 meses, mejoran su edad de desarrollo entre el 45.8 % y el 54.2%, aquellos niños y niñas que asisten de 13 a 18 meses, mejoran el 100% su edad de desarrollo.Item Edad de desarrollo de los niños y niñas de los Centros Infantiles del Buen Vivir San Agustín y Los Pitufos del Valle mediante el Inventario de Desarrollo Battelle. Cuenca 2018(2019-11-11) Zambrano Sigüenza, Damaris Carolina; Zamora Avecillas, Kimberly Susana; Pesántez Díaz, Tania LorenaBACKGROUND: A primary task of the nervous system during childhood is the acquisition of skills or abilities, this maturation is known as development, which has a similar sequence or order in all children, but bearing in mind that they may have a variable pace in the acquisition of skills, so, it is considered important to assess to identify strengths and weaknesses within development. GENERAL OBJECTIVE: determine the age of development of the children who attend the CIBV Pitufos del Valle and San Agustín, through the Battelle Development Inventory. METHODOLOGY: The present investigation was a quantitative study of a descriptive and cross-sectional type, carried out in children between 2 and 4 years old who attend the CIBV San Agustín and Los Pitufos del Valle. The application tool is the Battelle Development Inventory. In the following investigation, descriptive statistics and programs are used, such as: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Free IBM SPSS Statistics version 23 software for Windows. RESULTS: In our research we found that 83. 1% of the children evaluated had a developmental age according to their chronological age. Considering sex, women and men are mostly at the developmental age of 36-47 months. This research evaluated children through the “Test de Aprendizaje y Desarrollo Infantil (TADI)”. Objective: To determine the categories of global learning and child development through the “Test de Aprendizaje y Desarrollo Infantil TADI” for children attending the “Centro de Desarrollo Infantil CEDIUC” and the “Aula de Estimulación Temprana y Tutorías Preescolares” of the “Universidad de Cuenca”. Methodology: Study conducted on 61 children aged 3 months to 6 years. The SPSS25 program was used to compile the information and for the statistical analysis of the variables, measures of central tendency, frequencies and percentages were used. Results: The 62.3% were male, of these 55.3% were in a normal learning and development category. The 36.1% were 2 to 3 years old, 67.2% of the parents had a higher level of education, a 52.5% came from a nuclear family and 47.5% had a typical average socioeconomic level. Conclusions: According to the results of the evaluation with the TADI in children from 3 months to 6 years of age, the majority of the population present normal learning and development.Item Evaluación del desarrollo psicomotor a niños de 2 a 5 años de edad con el test tepsi en los Centros de Desarrollo Infantil: Mis Pequeños Pandas y Kinder Garden. Cuenca 2022(Universidad de Cuenca, 2022-10-04) Fárez Matute, Silvia Patricia; Ortega Ramírez, Ivanna Natalie; Brito Criollo, Tania AlexandraBackground: Psychomotor development is the continuous progress of a child's functional abilities. When certain skills develop slowly, a risk or delay in psychomotor development is presumed. The TEPSI test assesses psychomotor development and determines the risk or delay in the psychomotor development of children, in order to intervene in time. Objective: To determine the psychomotor development of children aged 2 to 5 years belonging to the Child Development Centers "Mis Pequeños Pandas and Kinder Garden", using the TEPSI Cuenca-2022 test. Methodology: Quantitative, descriptive, cross-sectional and correlational study. Sample of n=60 children belonging to the Mis Pequeños Pandas and Kinder Garden Child Development Centres. Data collection was carried out using the TEPSI psychomotor development test and a data form. The analysis and tabulation of the results used IBM SPSS version 22, Microsoft Excel and Word 2016. Results: Of the total population, 58.3% is male. Of the total population, 58.3% were boys, 40% were aged 3-4 and 4-5 years respectively. The level of psychomotor development that stood out was within the normal profile, with 50 cases representing 83.3% of the total number of children, 6 cases at risk (10%) and 4 cases in delay (6.7%). Conclusion: From the population evaluated, 40 children between the ages of 3 and 5 years with a normal psychomotor development profile stand out.Item Evaluación del desarrollo psicomotor de niños y niñas de 1 a 5 años valorados con la prueba EDI en las parroquias Ludo y Paccha 2022(Universidad de Cuenca, 2022-07-29) Armijos Zhunio, Viky Alejandra; Fárez Matailo, María Elena; Clavijo, María IsabelBACKGROUND: Adequate psychomotor development in the first five years of life is of great importance, at this stage the foundations for appropriate interaction with their environment are strengthened. For this reason, evaluating the development, the influence of biological risk factors, neurological examination, and alert and alarm signals is imperative. In this study, psychomotor development was evaluated in boys and girls aged 1 to 5 years in the Ludo and Paccha parishes, through the Child Development Assessment test (EDI). RESEARCH OBJECTIVE: To determine the psychomotor development profile of boys and girls from 1 to 5 years old assessed with the EDI test of the Ludo and Paccha parishes. METHODOLOGY: Prospective Quantitative Descriptive type research. The study population was children from 1 to 5 years of age from the Ludo and Paccha parishes; the EDI evaluation test was applied. The data obtained were analyzed and tabulated in the IBM SPSS Statistics software. The results are presented in tables. RESULTS: The study was carried out on 154 boys and girls, of which 35.7% belong to the age of 1 to 2 years and 64.3% to the age of 3 to 4 years; according to sex, 39.6% are female and 60.4% are male; according to the "EDI" Test, 44.8% have normal development, 46.8% lag, and 8.4% risk of delay; 50.6% presented biological risk factors and 0.6% altered neurological examination.Item Evaluación del desarrollo psicomotor de niños y niñas de preparatoria de la Unidad Educativa Bilingüe Interamericana. Cuenca 2022(Universidad de Cuenca, 2023-08-07) Pinos Sarmiento, Ana Cristina; Villa Aucapiña, Karen Fernanda; Villalta Chungata, Blanca CeciliaThe first years of life are essential for an aproppiate integrated development of children because those are the moments they are exposed to a number of stimuli, which will influence their growth whit activities that benefit their motor, social, cognitive, and communicational skills. This will definitely have an impact on childrens future learning; however, this might also be affected because of prenatal, perinatal, or postnatal factors. Therefore, this study aims to identify the psychomotor development of the children attending Bilingual School, using the Brunet-Lezine test. General objective To determine the psychomotor development of children attending Interamerican Bilingual School. Methodology This is a descriptive and quantitative study. The purpose was to evaluate the psychomotor development of four- to six -year-old children attending Interamerican Bilingual School using the Brunet-Lezine test. The results were tabulated using the statistical software IBM SPSS, version 22 Results The results show that 47% of the participants were male, in regard to the socioeconomic status, the middle level is prevalent at 82,4%; and 53,71% of their parents have been to college. Finally, 96,25% of the participants show appropriate development, and 3,75% show deficiency in their development.Item Evaluación del desarrollo psicomotor de niños/as de 3 meses a 5 años en el Centro de Salud Mariano Estrella. Cuenca 2019(Universidad de Cuenca, 2020-08-20) Morocho Segarra, Johanna Maricela; Quizhpi Guerrero, María Fernanda; Lucio Bravo, Miriam AlexandraBackground: Psychomotor development is a process in which the child acquires skills in different areas of development, the first 5 years of life are crucial; therefore, the purpose of this research was to evaluate the development of children at the “Centro de Salud Mariano Estrella" applying the Child Learning and Development Test (TADI). Objective: To determine the level of development and learning in children from 3 months to 5 years who attend to the “Centro de Salud Mariano Estrella” Methodology: This is a descriptive, transverse research carried out on 90 children from 3 months to 5 years old at “Centro de Salud “Mariano Estrella”. The Child Learning and Development Test (TADI) was applied. The SPSS 22 and Microsoft Excel programs were used to collect the information, and for the statistical analysis, frequencies and percentages according to variables. Results: The highest percentage of children was: male with 57.8%, ranging from 12 months 1 day to 24 months with 32%. A total of 43.3% presented normal development, 60% were between the ages of 3 months 1 day to 12 months. In relation to the type of family and level of education, a higher percentage of normal development was found in the single-parent family and in children whose parents had higher education.Item Evaluación del desarrollo psicomotor en niños de 0 a 36 meses de madres adolescentes que asisten al Centro de Salud Nicanor Merchán, mediante el Inventario de Battelle. Facultad de Ciencias Médicas, 2026-03-02) Minchala Espinoza, María del Carmen; Sarmiento Franco, Karla del Rocío; Cabrera Vintimilla, Johanna MercedesBackground: Child psychomotor development is essential for the maturation of children, facilitating the acquisition of motor, cognitive, communicative, and social skills. Children of adolescent mothers may face higher risks of developmental difficulties due to biological, socioeconomic, and emotional factors linked to early motherhood. General Objective: To assess the psychomotor development of children aged 0 to 36 months, children of adolescent mothers who attended the Nicanor Merchán Health Center, using the Battelle Developmental Inventory to identify possible delays in neurodevelopment. Methodology: Quantitative, descriptive, and cross-sectional research with 26 children aged 0 to 36 months. The Battelle Developmental Inventory was used, and the data were analyzed using SPSS version 2024. Results: The majority of the children showed psychomotor development appropriate for their age (76.9%). However, some exhibited delays in areas such as gross motor skills (15.4%) and communication (7.7%). The study demonstrated that there was no relationship between adolescent pregnancy and the psychomotor development of children aged 0 to 36 months. Conclusion: The majority of the children evaluated showed adequate psychomotor development. However, a small percentage exhibited significant delays in areas such as gross motor skills and communication. A highly significant relationship was observed between maternal age and motor development in the area of gross motor skills, suggesting that maternal age may influence children's motor development.Item Evaluación del desarrollo psicomotor en niños de 4 a 24 meses que asisten al área de pediatría del Centro de Salud #2, mediante el Baby test Brunet Lezine, Cuenca 2018 – 2019(2019-10-16) Peñaloza Guamán, Tatiana Belén; Yuquilima Arévalo, Diana Carolina; Villalta Chungata, Blanca CeciliaBACKGROUND Psychomotor development is an evolutionary process; in which child acquires skills and abilities throughout their growth. The evaluation of psychomotor development in children 0 to 5 years is paramount; however; Margalida Coll Andreu, in the XII International Congress of educational theory indicates that there is greater neural plasticity in children younger than 24 months; so it is more important to an assessment at this stage and thus to detect problems or difficulties in the psychomotor development, for appropriate intervention. GENERAL OBJECTIVE Set the age of psychomotor development in children from 4 to 24 months using the Baby Test Brunet Lezine in the area of pediatrics of Health Center #2. METHODOLOGY Descriptive, quantitative study; evaluation of psychomotor development was carried out on children aged 4 to 24 months, who attended pediatric consultation at the Health Center #2, through the Baby Brunet Lezine. The results were tabulated with the IBM SPSS version 25 statistical program. RESULTS A sample of 98 boys and girls was handled, of which 49% belong to the female gender and 51% to the male gender. If certain skills are acquired slowly, abnormally or not at all, it may mean a delayed psychomotor development influenced by various factors. Therefore, Battelle Developmental Inventory is considered a great help in revealing the child's developmental age, allowing timely intervention if necessary. Objective: To evaluate psychomotor development in children from 0 to 5 years old, in Chunazana community applying Battelle Development Inventory, Nabón 2021. Methodology: The applied methodology is a quantitative study of prospective descriptive observational type in the community of Chunazana - Nabón. The data collection procedure was carried out through the application of Battelle Development Inventory. For the analysis and tabulation of the results, the used programs were IBM SPSS version 22, Microsoft Excel and Word 2016. The chi 2 statistical test (p ˂ 0.05). Results: According to the investigated population, the results were divided into male and female sex getting the following results. Male sex that represents the 53.8% got 51.2% the midpoint of psychomotor development and 48.8% in the weak point. At the same time, Female sex that represents the 46.2% got 59.5% in the middle point and 40.5% in the weak point. About the age, 53.8% belong to the preschool level. Objective: To evaluate the psychomotor development in boys and girls from 0 to 5 years of age from San Francisco de Gualleturo parish, using the revised Brunet- Lezine psychomotor development scale, 2022. Methodology: This study is a quantitative, descriptive, analytical, prospective cross-sectional approach, in a population of 113 boys and girls, using the revised Brunet-Lézine psychomotor development scale. The data was collected in a form and analyzed with the statistical package SPSS version 22. Results: Of the population investigated, 52.2% belong to the male sex, 42.5% correspond to preschool age, the level of prevalent psychomotor development was normal with 94.7%, and the level of education of the parents or primary caregivers is 55.8% belong to basic general education or high school. The timely detection becomes vital, because it favors the future of the child and his family. There are several scales that allow to evaluate the psychomotor development; in the present investigation the Battelle Development Inventory will be applied. GENERAL OBJETIVE To determine the risk factors and their incidence in the psychomotor development of children between zero and five years of the Carlos Elizalde Health Center. Cuenca 2017. METHODOLOGY The study was of descriptive quantitative type of cross section in the period October 2017 - March 2018. The population was 125 children from zero months to five years to which they applied the Battelle Development Inventory. The data obtained were tabulated with the SPSS program with prospective data analysis; from this the results were obtained in graphs and tables that gave us the interpretation to fulfill the proposed objectives. RESULTS The results obtained generated a base of information and knowledge about the level of psychomotor development, which can be used for future research for professionals, students and health personnel in general.Item Nivel y edad de desarrollo psicomotriz de los niños y niñas de los Centros Infantiles del Buen Vivir Huayna Capac y Bosque de Monay. Marzo - agosto 2018(2018-11-11) Bernal Ramírez, Isabel Monserrath; Loja Ferreira, Daysi Liliana; Clavijo, María IsabelBACKGROUND: The psychomotor development of children takes more importance nowadays due to the significant impact and the value that is given to the skills that they acquire during the ages of 0 to 5 years; These skills are fundamental for the harmonious development of children and are evaluated in different areas such as cognition, social, motor, self-help and language. For this reason, the Psychomotor Development evaluation was carried out with the Brunet Lezine test, the revised version and the Battelle Development Inventory. OBJECTIVE: To determine the level and age of psychomotor development of the children of the Children's Centers of Buen Vivir Huayna Cápac and Bosque de Monay of the Cuenca canton, March - August 2018. METHODOLOGY: The study was of descriptive quantitative type of cross section. The study population was all children who regularly attended the Buen Vivir Children's Centers Huayna Cápac and Bosque de Monay. For the collection of information, the "Battelle development inventory" and "The Brunet Lezine Development Scale revised version" were applied. For the analysis and tabulation of data, the SPSS 15.0 free version, Microsoft Excel and Word 2013 programs were used for frequency statistics and percentages. RESULTS: The sample was composed of 105 children, as a result of which 3.8% presented a global delay in psychomotor development with the Brunet Lezine test, and the area with the greatest weaknesses was Expressive Communication with the Inventory of Battelle development. Thanks to the advances in neonatal medicine, mortality has decreased; but the risk in the psychomotor development stay to the absence of incomplete weeks. For the present research, we have considered the collection of data through medical records of each child from 0 to 5 years old who attended the Child Development Center of the University of Cuenca from 2015 to 2019. OVERALL OBJECTIVE To determine the prevalence of neurodevelopmental disorders in premature children who attended the Child Development Center of the University of Cuenca from 2015 to 2019. METHODOLOGY Descriptive, retrospective and quantitative study, when information was collected from medical records of premature children who attended the CEDIUC from 2015 to 2019, knowing their prevalence of neurodevelopmental disorders. For the tabulation and data analysis was used the computer-statistical program (IBM SPSS - v27) and Microsoft Excel 2019, the results will be presented in tables and graphs. USE OF RESULTS: Of the 388 medical records, the 67,8% were moderate preterm children, the 26% were very preterm and the 6,2% were extremely preterm. The 85,8% presented neurodevelopmental disorders, of which the 51% presented intellectual disability (global developmental delay) and 33,2% presented communication disorders (language disorders). It is decided to carry out an investigative study in the "Octavio Cordero Palacios" parish, through the application of the Age and Stages Questionnaire ASQ-3, which evaluates child development through a survey applied to parents or caregivers. General objective: Evaluate child development in boys and girls from 12 to 60 months of the Octavio Cordero Palacios Parish through the ASQ -3 questionnaire. Methodology: The methodology is quantitative, descriptive, taking as a population a sample of 123 children between 12 and 60 months of the Octavio Cordero Palacios parish. The collection procedure was primary source through the application of the ASQ- 3 Ages and Stages Questionnaire and the data collection form. Results obtained: The psychomotor development of the population is adequate, however, 11.38% have a psychomotor development below expectations within the communication area, in the gross motor area 15.45%, in the fine motor area 7, 32%, in the problem resolution area 4.88% and in the socio-individual area 1.63%.Item Screening del desarrollo psicomotor de niños y niñas de 3 a 5 años del Centro Educativo Carlos Zambrano Orejuela. Cuenca 2019.(2020-01-06) Recalde Rodas, Melissa Samantha; Villalta Chungata, Blanca CeciliaBACKGROUND: This research contemplates the importance of evaluating the psychomotor development of children aged 3 to 5 who attend the afternoon of the Carlos Zambrano Educational Center, located in the parish Huayna Cápac del Cantón Cuenca, through the TEPSI Test. OBJECTIVE: To determine the psychomotor development of children aged 3 to 5 who attend the afternoon of the Carlos Zambrano Educational Center. METHODOLOGY: Prospective descriptive study. The study population was children from 3 to 5 years of the Carlos Zambrano Orejuela Educational Center who attend the evening (N = 70). A data collection form and the TEPSI psychomotor development test were applied as an instrument. RESULTS: In the present investigation the “TEPSI” psychomotor development test was used, through which it was determined that: 10.8% of the male population has psychomotor development delay, while 100% of the Female population has a normal psychomotor development. Regarding the socioeconomic level, 25% of the population with a low socioeconomic level has delayed psychomotor development. 3% of the population whose parents have a secondary education level have a developmental delay and 4% of the population that has an extended family have a developmental delay.Item Tamizaje del aprendizaje y desarrollo infantil en niños de 0 a 5 años del Centro de Educación Inicial Particular Mi Génesis, Cuenca, 2023(Universidad de Cuenca, 2024-06-19) Sánchez Nievecela, Miriam Lucia; Brito Criollo, Tania Alexandra3 Miriam Lucia Sánchez Nievecela Abstract Background: Child development is a process in which children acquire skills and abilities continuously and chronologically in the first years of life and, as they interact with stimuli, they go through changes that will directly influence the child's future academic performance. /a during the school period, therefore, it is essential to detect possible delays in development and learning early. In the present investigation, the children were evaluated through the Child Learning and Development Test (TADI). Aim: To evaluate the level of child learning and development through the Child Learning and Development Test (TADI) in boys and girls from 0 months to 5 years old who attend the Mi Génesis Private Early Education Center, Cuenca, 2023. Methodology:Descriptive cross-sectional research carried out on 64 boys and girls from 0 to 5 years old from the Mi Genesis Private Initial Education Center. The data obtained was collected using the data collection form and processed using the SPSS25 program. Results: Of the population investigated, 53.12% corresponded to the male sex, 18.7% corresponded to children aged 3 years to 3 years and 6 months. The type of nuclear family had 48.33% of the cases, followed by single parents with 31.25%. 60.94% of parents had a higher level of education. The present investigation contemplates the degree of psychomotor development of the children through the evaluation with the TEPSI screening test, whose results allow to guide the work of the professionals in charge of the children of our study. GENERAL OBJECTIVE: To determine the psychomotor development of the 4-year-old boys and girls who attend the Sinincay Parish Schools, through the TEPSI test. METHODOLOGY: The study will be descriptive quantitative cross-sectional type. Children from 4 to 5 years of age are considered as population, attending schools belonging to the Sinincay parish: José María Astudillo Ortega, Carolina de Febres Cordero, Sinincay Educational Unit, La Merced, Ignacio Malo Tamariz and Reinaldo Chico García. The statistical analysis was carried out using descriptive statistics with percentages, frequencies and Chi square represented in tables using the SPSS software version 20. USE OF THE RESULT: The present study was carried out in children of 4 years in the Sinincay parish schools in which they were evaluated with the TEPSI test and the following results were obtained: 54.3% were male and 45.7% were male. Objective: To evaluate the child development of children from 0 to 3 years of age at the Semillitas Child Development Center. Methodology: It is a descriptive, quantitative and prospective study; for the statistical analysis of the qualitative variables, tables of frequencies and percentages were used, for the quantitative variables the measures of central tendency were used: mean, median and mode; the results were presented through statistical tables, graphs in the Microsoft Excel 2016 program and the IBM SPSS Statistics 23 program. Results: The study was carried out with a population of 60 children from 0 to 3 years of age, of which 43% were male and 57% female. The most prevalent age is children from 31 to 36 months with 33%. Regarding the delay in psychomotor, it considered a gap in the acquisition of skills, departing significantly from what is expected for the age, either in a single area or at a global level. In the present study, the Batelle Development Inventory was applied, which evaluates abilities and skills of children from 0 to 8 years of age, allowing to obtaining the development age, strengths and weaknesses of the different areas. OBJECTIVE: To determine the psychomotor development of boys and girls from 1 to 3 years of age in the “Centro Infantil del Buen Vivir Emblemático Chordeleg”. METHODOLOGY: The present study was prospective descriptive quantitative. The study population was all the boys and girls who regularly attend the “Centro Infantil del Buen Vivir Emblemático Chordeleg”, applying the “Battelle Development Inventory”. To carry out the analysis and tabulation of data, the SPSS 22 free version, Microsoft Excel 2013 and Microsoft Word 2013 programs were used; for the descriptive statistical analysis, frequencies and percentages; simple and double entry tables were used according to variables. RESULTS: The analyzed population was 81 boys and girls, obtaining the following data as a result, the area with weak points is the motor area with 45.7%, on the other hand, the area with strong points is the adaptive area with 29.6% according to the Battelle Development Inventory. The results obtained were used to determine the level of development of the children; the information was used exclusively for research.
