Item Aplicación de la guía de buenas prácticas para turismo sostenible versión 2005, bajo los protocolos de bioseguridad: caso Hotel Raymipampa(Universidad de Cuenca, 2021-08-16) Fárez Yunga, Gladys Sarbelia; Bermeo Orellana, William Omar; Quintero Maldonado, David FernandoSustainable development is a topic that over the years has been gaining importance within today's society, mainly in the tourism sector due to its direct impact on nature and the cultural aspects of populations. The guide to good practices is an instrument of great importance when analyzing hotels and their commitment to sustainability, in addition to taking into account that establishments beyond being sustainable must comply with biosecurity protocols in the face of theexisting pandemic. The methodology that has been used is a descriptive research on the current situation of the hotel, using as a technique a survey that was addressed to the management part of the company and that also contained information based on the Guide of Good Practices for sustainable tourism of the Rainforest Alliance in its 2005 version, which gives us indicators that must be evaluated, and in the eventof non-compliance they must be applied for sustainable development. Currently the Hotel Raymipampa meets several indicators requested by the guide,being a strong point the environmental field because compliance with these pointshelps the company to reduce its costs while contributing to the environment. On the other hand, there are the business and cultural fields, which despite applying certain compliance indicators, is low.Item Diseño de un manual de producción más limpia con la aplicación del protocolo de bioseguridad para el Hotel Italia de la ciudad de Cuenca(Universidad de Cuenca, 2022-02-14) Zumba Espinoza, Fanny Alexandra; Molina Díaz, María AugustaThe purpose of this project is to design a Cleaner Production manual for the Hotel Italia, respecting the biosafety protocol in force in the country, based on the current situation and taking into account the needs of the establishment in terms of environmental. For the development of this work, several visits were made to the establishment that They allowed us to have a broader vision of both the successes and the failures that has the organization in environmental matters. Through interviews, data was collected on the Current situation of Hotel Italia. The project consists of three chapters in which it is exposed relevant information about the hotel and the basic aspects that make up a manual of Cleaner Production, as well as the alternatives that can be used within the organization. During the development of each chapter several bibliographic sources have been reviewed, such as: books, manuals, essays, degree works, among others that have served as reference to support the information set forth in this document. The basic foundation for perform the analysis of the current situation of the establishment is the "Guide to Good Practices for Sustainable Tourism” developed by the Rainforest Alliance. This guide has relevant information about the actions that a company should develop to be sustainable. On the other hand, the final chapter is the result of the bibliographical research developed in the first chapter and the analysis carried out in the second chapter. The proposals have been designed based on the reality of the organization and the aspects that require a immediate intervention. With the application of this manual the establishment will improve its processes and therefore the results. All strategies are attached to the current circumstances in the tourism sector due to the pandemic. This degree work aims to comparatively study the application of sustainable tourism good practices in four-star hotels in the Historic Center of the city of Cuenca-Ecuador that have the badge "Cuenca Biosafe and Sustainable". Case: Hotel El Conquistador, Hotel Los Balcones and Hotel Santa Lucía. First, the background and characteristics of the badge will be known, and then diagnose the current reality of the aforementioned establishments based on the sustainable tourism good practices of the Rainforest Alliance version 2005. This project focuses on analyzing consumer preferences in relation to accommodation services, especially in the post-COVID-19 context. Guests seek safety, connection with nature and demonstrate greater awareness about environmental care and sustainability. To meet these requirements, the concept of Glamping has been proposed as an ideal option. An analysis of the preferences of this model is carried out in the parish of Nulti-Cuenca, taking advantage of the potential that this community offers. The importance of community participation in the project and the future benefits it can generate is highlighted. The methodological approach used is mixed, combining interviews with the key actors of the parish and surveys of potential consumers of the product. These stages are fundamental to explore consumption preferences and achieve the main objective of study. This intervention project is divided into three main phases. First, the tourist structure of the parish is identified through semi-structured interviews. Then, preferences are analyzed through surveys, which allows to create a management model based on the theory of organizational behavior. Finally, strategies are established to improve these models and a marketing plan aimed at a specific target public is proposed, according to the results obtained. Facultad de Ciencias de la Hospitalidad, 2026-03-04) Pachar Muñoz, Marcela Estefania; Urgilés Contreras, Diana PaolaThe tourism and hotel field is closely linked to sustainable practices, due to this, a proposal of sustainable actions aimed at improving the business, socio-cultural and environmental areas of the Atenas Hostel in Cuenca, Ecuador, is presented, based on the criteria established by the Smart Voyager Express Accommodation Standard and the Rainforest Alliance Sustainable Good Practices guide of 2005. The objectives of this proposal are to present various sustainable actions that help reduce its ecological footprint, improve the operational efficiency of the establishment and promote sustainable tourism. This proposal seeks to position Hostal Atenas as a benchmark for responsible tourism in its category in the city of Cuenca, Ecuador.
