Facultad de Ciencias de la Hospitalidad, 2026-03-04) Pachar Muñoz, Marcela Estefania; Urgilés Contreras, Diana PaolaThe tourism and hotel field is closely linked to sustainable practices, due to this, a proposal of sustainable actions aimed at improving the business, socio-cultural and environmental areas of the Atenas Hostel in Cuenca, Ecuador, is presented, based on the criteria established by the Smart Voyager Express Accommodation Standard and the Rainforest Alliance Sustainable Good Practices guide of 2005. The objectives of this proposal are to present various sustainable actions that help reduce its ecological footprint, improve the operational efficiency of the establishment and promote sustainable tourism. This proposal seeks to position Hostal Atenas as a benchmark for responsible tourism in its category in the city of Cuenca, Ecuador.Item Propuesta de un plan de gestión sostenible basada en la guía de Buenas Prácticas de Rainforest Alliance en la versión del año 2005 para el hotel Victoria de la ciudad de Cuenca(2020-02-17) Chérrez Quinde, Ricardo David; Guzmán Segarra, Alexandra Maribel; Galarza Torres, Marcela AlexandraBeing sustainability one of the fundamentals pillars in the hotel and tourist sector, hotels seek that tourists get involved and help in some way to minimize global warming, this graduation work will determine the situation presented by the Hotel Victoria with the respect to the current sustainable management, which causes an environmental impact to the city affecting its economy and society, for this purpose, actions will be applied based on the Rainforest Alliance Guide for Good Practices in its 2005 version and the Smart Voyager Standard, which provides parameters for social and environmental performance and aims to improve the way in which tourism activity relates to its business environment, in order to generate proposals that benefit the hotel, the society and the economy, turning it into a reference for other hotels that want to apply good sustainable management.
