(Universidad de Cuenca, 2021-11-10) Astudillo Criollo, Estefanía Gabriela; Zhingre Pacheco, Kevin Mateo; Jara Bermeo, Johanna Priscila
The following study aims to find the relationship between physical activity and health problems, mainly depression; their level in people who exercise physical activity regularly compared to sedentary people, and if there is any significant benefit in reducing them. The study will focus on men and women university students from the Faculty of Philosophy Letters and Educational Sciences, with the exception of the career of Pedagogy of Physical Activity and Sport, at ages 18 to 28. Two questionnaires will be applied for the fulfillment of objectives, the (IPAQ) aimed at measuring the physical activity of the participants and the (ZUNG) to measure the scale of depression, in addition to a supplementation of information provided by studies of the same nature in different countries. This experimental work is intended to provide a significantly clearer picture of the benefits of regular physical activity practice in relation to mental health, knowing that physical activity brings multiple benefits both physically and psychologically.
