Item Estilos de vida en estudiantes universitarios de primer y quinto ciclo de la carrera de Enfermería de la Universidad de Cuenca en el periodo septiembre 2023 – febrero 2024(Universidad de Cuenca, 2024-02-20) Tello Morocho, Joseline Fernanda; Zeas Orosco, Paula Gianella; Cabrera Vélez, María MarcelaLifestyles encompass the integration of habits and behaviors that an individual regularly engages in consciously and voluntarily, influencing their health. This topic becomes relevant among university students pursuing the Nursing program, who face academic demands that may lead them to adopt detrimental lifestyles. This study describes the lifestyles of university students in the first and fifth semesters at the University of Cuenca. The research employed a quantitative, descriptive, and cross-sectional approach with a sample of 106 students. We used a sociodemographic form and the FANTÁSTICO questionnaire as instruments and processed the data using the statistical software SPSS version 25. The results revealed that most students, corresponding to 49.1%, have a "Good" lifestyle. However, not all students practice physical activity or have adequate sleep patterns and stress management. The study found no differences in lifestyle based on sociodemographic variables. However, 64.8% of first-semester students have a "Good" lifestyle, compared to 50.0% of fifth-semester students, who have a "Regular" lifestyle. In conclusion, while most Nursing students maintain healthy habits, lifestyle variations are evident across academic semesters.
