    ABSTRACT The present work deals with an study for the increase of the production capacity of an artisan factory, which produces milk products such as fresh cheese and curd. Chapter I: The study begins with an introduction that states the justification of this work and its objectives. Chapter II: This chapter discusses some basic concepts related to the Project in addition to the characteristics of the products to be manufactured. Chapter III: Includes an analysis of the current situation of the company, in which an historical review is contained. As well as the general description, mission and vision, and the overall organization of the company. Chapter IV: To find out the amount of material available on the site of implementation of this project, a study of raw materials and suppliers was done. It also determined the characteristics and conditions of raw materials. Chapter V: A market study was done to determine the market supply and demand for these products in the city of Cuenca, as well as its potential demand. Finally the respective projections were made to estimate the unmet demand for the coming years. Chapter VI: With technical, economic and financial study, the necessary element for the production was determined. Also, the amount of investment required, and by NPV and IRR is determined whether or not the project is feasible.

    Estudio de factibilidad para la elaboración de espumas flexibles de poliuretano convencionales y bioespumas

    Vagny Eco Espumas (VEE), is a entrepreneurship as a result of the knowledge and the experimental work done at University of Cuenca, the next step is strengthen to idea and turn it in industrial company, not only is´t enough to have an innovative product obtained through an efficient process, but is too important demostrate to future investors the feasibility of the business throung technical, market and economic studies. Therefore, in the present study was analized through field research and realible secondary sources the current market, the apparent demand for the target was determined and it was projected by means of the least squares method in order to define the market share of the VEE company and the percentage of grown that is intended for the next two years. With the aforementioned data, we defenined marketing strategies and determined the human and physical resources (industry plant, machinery, bsic services), which are necessary to fulfill our objetive. In addition, the financial evaluation was carried out using specialized software that calculates the main economic indicators in order to present this project to the Corporación Finaciera Nacional and obtain the economic resources.

Themethod of innovationconsists of 5 stages: 1) Identification and selection of innovationopportunities 2) Generation of ideas 3) Evaluation of ideas 4) Development of the idea 5) Implementation In thefirststageinnovationopportunitiesidentifiedthrough interviews withseniormanagement of Continental Tire Andina S.A., whocouldcontributefromhisextensiveexperience,in additiontoconsideringtheopportunities of Continental AG (Central Hannover - Germany), and keyopportunities are selectedconsideringthepriorities of thecompany In thenextstage, a creativeworkshopwith 13 employees of theCompany, wherethetechnique of SCAMPER, a list of questionstostimulate ideas, thesamethatwereanalyzedtoobtainthe 3 mostoutstanding ideas applieddeveloped and representingproduct, process and serviceinnovation. In thethirdstagetechnique (advantages and disadvantages) and economicallyobtainedwereevaluatedthree ideas, developingthem in thefourthstage and the final stageleavingthecompany in consideration of implementation and launch.
