    Frecuencia del uso de métodos anticonceptivos en adolescentes que asisten al Centro de Salud INNFA, Sucúa, 2021

    Background: the World Health Organization considers adolescents between the ages of 10 years to 19 to 11 m 29 days, where the main physical, psychological, emotional, sexual changes occur, currently it can be observed that most pregnancies are in adolescents, they have at their disposal several ways to avoid procreation, but contraceptive methods are not used, influenced by socioeconomic, cultural or religious, environmental factors as well as incorrect education or information through health personnel; in the absence of good family planning brings with it various problems at the socioeconomic level. Objective: to determine the frequency and characteristics of the use of contraceptive methods in adolescents attending the INNFA SUCUA Health Center, 2021. Methodology: a descriptive-transversal study was carried out, the sample consisted of 265 adolescents, a survey was applied, the data were analyzed using the SPSS program version 25 and the results were represented in tables. Results: 50.9% were male, the predominant age range was between 14 and 17 years (middle adolescence) with 50.2%, 92.1% were heterosexual and 27.2% had knowledge about the use of contraceptive methods. Conclusion: Adolescents have limited knowledge about the use of contraceptive methods with 27.2% indicating a risk in their physical and psychosocial development, information they get from their friends, concluding that it is important to educate this vulnerable group by health personnel.
