    El estrés y factores asociados en las prácticas clínicas en los estudiantes de Enfermería de la Universidad de Cuenca. Cuenca 2014

    BACKGROUND: Nursing students during the academic life are exposed to a variety of situations such as relationships with professionals, feelings of helplessness, lack of knowledge and skill in techniques for clinical practice, for which they are not usually prepared, which produces its own series of stressors. OBJECTIVE: Determine the stress and the associated factors in clinical practice in nursing students from the University of Cuenca, 2014. METHODOLOGY: A descriptive study was conducted to identify associated factors in clinical practice in Nursing Education from the University of Cuenca with a universe of 374 students in first, second and third year as a direct interview technique was used as instrument the questionnaire KEZKAK consent of the study group. The collection and organization of information is performed using Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and SPSS. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and presented in tables. RESULTS: Of a total of 374 students from the first three years of the School of Nursing, a sample of 190 students applying 47 surveys per subject, where 47.48% are between 18-21 years of age, sex took prevalent is the female with 87.89%. The main stressors identified by questionnaire KEZKAK are: I catch some disease through infected with an overall average of 2.03 patient; the patient intends to touch me certain parts of my body when performing care with an average of 2.02; having to deal with aggressive patients with an overall mean of 1.96; the differences between what we learned in class and what we see in practice with an overall mean of 1.86; workload with an average of 1.74. CONCLUSIONS: The stress of nursing students marks their training during the period of clinical practices. Therefore, it is necessary that the theoretical learning that meets the needs of nursing students themselves demand
