(2015) Villalta Riera, Nelly Lisandra; Quizhpi Lupercio, Diego Armando; Guillermo Ríos, Víctor Hugo
This work collects information from the concerns of students with regard to the need to deploy new subjects to the career of DIGITAL JOURNALISM AND COMMUNICATION, as well as the point of view of professionals in journalism, media owners and teachers at the School of Communication at the University of Cuenca. Within the research is considered conducting surveys of students of the past two shekels from different universities of the city. Among them are: University of Cuenca, Catholic University, RMUS and UPS. Similarly it is surveyed to graduates of our institution. It was also carried out interviews with professionals in the field, and journalistic media owners, with the purpose of analysing the requirements that must be met by the future journalists and/or communicators in the media. To complement this work a comparison was made with different meshes of the academic career of Digital Journalism, inside and outside the country. In this way the results allowed us to obtain a clear understanding of the profile of the new professionals and the demands of the media and society. Throughout the research process could be put in evidence the successes and failures that has been taken in the training of students in terms of its practical development within their classrooms and the affinity effective with the new technology.
