This research project was developed through a methodical process of a bibliographic review on the subject of sports biomechanics with an emphasis on triathlon. This study aims to carry out a bibliographic review of the biomechanical factors that affect the technical efficiency of triathletes in their different events in the sprint mode, involving the sporting technical gesture used in each discipline in order to correct and improve performance. To achieve the purpose of this research, a systematic review methodology of documents linked to different scientific journals in various digital databases was considered, the most relevant information was extracted according to the inclusion criteria that were established at the beginning. The results found after the bibliographic review about the problem were several, the biomechanical factors that influence swimming (anthropometry, body position, efficiency of stroke and leg action, coordination of breathing) were theoretically based on the cycling (resistive forces, anthropometry, position on the bicycle and pedaling efficiency), and running (anthropometry, body posture, stride, type of stride, economy of running and the effect of the anterior segment). Therefore, this research is a contribution to athletes and coaches in this discipline both locally and internationally
