    Causas de hemorragia uterina anormal en mujeres de 35 a 50 años que acudieron al departamento de ginecología en el Hospital José Carrasco Arteaga desde junio-diciembre del 2014

    BACKGROUND: abnormal uterine bleeding (AUB), a common problem of women reproductive age, perimenopausal and menopausal. The present study was made for determine the causes of abnormal uterine bleeding in our population also their characteristics demographics and consequence of bleeding. GENERAL OBJECTIVE: Determine the different causes of the abnormal uterine bleeding in women 35 to 50 years of the department of gynecology and obstetrics in the José Carrasco Arteaga Hospital in the period from June to December 2014. METHODS: It is a quantitative retrospective study in where look for the clinical histories of patients diagnosed with abnormal uterine bleeding. The investigation was made in the "José Carrasco Arteaga" Hospital, in the Gynecology Department in the period from June to December 2014. The collection of changeful was processed with the database developed and codified in SPSS. RESULTS: : we identified 178 cases, with an average of 43.47 years, the urban area (88.8%), the major frequency was formal employs (72.5%), married (60.1%), with a feats average of 3, 91% with a Pap in the last year, 65.7% didn’t have family plan, the main diagnosis was endometrial hyperplasia (41%), second leiomyoma (36.7%) and the main treatment was: intra uterine curettage (46.1%), the second was hysterectomy (43.3%), and 27.5% with moderate anemia, severe anemia (9.6%) and mild anemia (11.8%). CONCLUTION: The most frequent cause of abnormal uterine bleeding was endometrial hyperplasia and the type of treatment chosen was intra uterine curettage
