Item Autoestima y función sexual en mujeres indígenas violentadas por su pareja sentimental, Nar – Cañar 2020(Universidad de Cuenca, 2020-07-03) Ortiz Sibri, Jessica Alexandra; Tibillin Villa, Claudia Maribel; Sánchez Campoverde, Diana EstherBackground: During the 90s, violence against women was purely a familiar event in which the state could not intervene. In 1996, the World Health Assembly, through a resolution, declared violence as a health problem since it is increasing and affecting women throughout the world. The most frequent age group in which violence towards women occurs is from 15 to 39 years, and, as time goes on, it is decreased. It is important to mention that womwn who suffer violence are those who are in a low socioeconomic level and have an incomplete education. It is known that violence significantly affects the self-esteem and sexual function of the affected person. Objective: To describe the self-esteem and sexual function in indigenous women violated by their romantic partner, Nar-Cañar 2020 Methodology: This current research is a descriptive, quantitative, cross-sectional approach. For the data collection, the Sociodemographic Sheet and the INEC Socioeconomic Stratification Level Survey will be applied; then, the Intrafamilial Violence Measurement Scale (VIF J4) will be used, followed by the scale of Rosenberg`s Self. esteem, and finishing with the survey of the Index Female Sexual Function of Rosen R. et al. (Female Sexual Index- FSFI). The gathered results in this descriptive investigation will be processed in a quantitative analysis through the SPSS program (Version 25). Results: Gender violence, with a severity percentage of 6,6%, was the one that had the greatest impact on this group of women between 18 and 63 years old, represented in a percentage of 61%. 85,7% of these women have a partner, that is to say, they are married or in a free unión. Moreover, lubrication, aroulsal and orgasm were also found to be the highest sexual function components within this group of women.
