    Nivel depresivo e impacto de la ludoterapia en los adultos mayores del Centro Gerontológico María Reina de la Paz, Cuenca 2014.

    Objective. To determine the depressive level and impact of the play therapy in older adults Gerontology Center "Mary Queen of Peace." Cuenca 2014. Methodology. It is a quantitative study, quasi-experimental, which was evaluated by a pre and posttest, an educational intervention play therapy, over a period of three months, we worked with the universe of 75 seniors who regularly attended the Gerontology Center, and use the interview techniques and an instrument were used as a form of geriatric Depression Scale of Yesavage (abridged), they were validated by the Ministry of Health containing information regarding the assessment of the level of depression in older adults, the data obtained were processed in SPSS software version 15 and Microsoft Excel and Word 2010 represented in tables with their respective descriptive analysis. Results: According to the geriatric assessment scale pretest, it was determined that 45% of elderly had a Normal state, 44% represented a moderate depression and 11% severe depression after the play therapy intervention during the months of April from July, it was established that 87% of elderly had a normal and 13% had a moderate depression. Conclusion: There is a 13% moderate depression in older adults after surgery improved significantly.
