    Factores asociados al cumplimiento de control prenatal en mujeres gestantes del Centro de Salud el Tambo-Cañar, junio 2019 –agosto 2020

    Background: Maternal mortality represents a public health problem worldwide, the ratio index is approximately 200 in 100,000 live births, since in a large majority the morbidities of pregnancy are preventable with adequate prenatal control, which is early and periodic, this increases significantly the prevalence of a satisfactory pregnancy and a positive experience for the mother that would make her return to health services in future pregnancies. Objective: to determine the factors associated with compliance with prenatal control in pregnant women at the El Tambo-Cañar Health Center, June 2019 - August 2020. Methodology: the study carried out was of a quantitative, cross-sectional analytical approach. The population was made up of the medical records of the pregnant women treated, at the El Tambo Health Center, Cañar, during the period June 2019 - August 2020, the instrument used was a questionnaire carried out by the researchers. Results: it was determined as factors associated with the fulfillment of the prenatal control that the sociodemographic characteristics such as age, it was determined that the most frequent pregnant women ranged in ages from 25 to 29 years with 33.11% (n = 51). Regarding the schooling of the women surveyed, 57.61% (n = 87) were women with high school education (complete secondary school), with respect to employment status, 59.60% (n = 90) correspond to women with a work status Housewife, the age at first pregnancy represented 60.92% (n = 92) women aged 15 to 19 years, women with 1 - 2 children 36.42% (n = 53) attended more frequently, women without a family planning history is 67.54 % (n = 102), attendance at the first control was before 12 weeks with 30.46% (n = 46), the highest obstetric risk found was 49.66% (n = 75) which corresponds to women with pregnancy of high risk. Regarding the factors of prenatal care, the number of controls, education and maternal counseling was determined a close relationship between them, being 4 times in pregnancy with 37.08 (n = 56).
