    The purpose of this research is to compile the history of tattooing in Cuenca, systematizing and studying information and the practice of tattooing through a field study, to tattoo artists as people with tattoos. Relations with the history of tattooing in the world and practice in Cuenca, aesthetic references, processing and compilation of how do a tattoo, to promote the art of tattooing in the city, serving as examples to artists and so can make future works of art. The catalog of photographs of tattoos is a compilation of artists from the city, includes the most recurrent designs.
