    This document is a guide for the performance of both preventive and corrective maintenance work in the Electric Substation of the Paseo Shopping Mall in Santo Domingo. We take into this document, international parameters and norms that allow to safeguard the safety of the personnel that currently works, and the others that will be assigned by the companies to provide this service; in the future. Also, it is emphasized in assignment of tasks and the recording of activities in such a way to register and quantify these activities, which will be very useful to maintain a historical database to prevent future damage, improve and / or redesign these processes and thus save resources and increase the reliability of electrical equipment of the substation. . To begin this work it is necessary to obtain a prior knowledge of the elements that make up the electric substation, its composition, structure, operation, then highlighted the importance of maintenance and its main facets, then based on these previous chapters has been designed and elaborated the methods and procedures to be followed for the preventive maintenance, and later the corrective maintenance, understood the latter as an unplanned activity and to resolution immediate , and finally it has been concluded with the documentary management of these tasks and procedures, of such way to register and quantify these activities, which will be very useful to maintain a historical database to prevent future damage, improve and / or redesign these processes and thus save resources and increase the reliability of electrical equipment of the substation.
