Item Análisis estilístico e interpretativo sobre el primer movimiento del concierto para violín KV.219 de W.A Mozart(Universidad de Cuenca. Facultad de Artes, 2025-10-14) Medina Barrera, Diego Fernando; Saula Fuentes, Marco EstebanThis thesis focuses on the stylistic and interpretative analysis of the first movement of the Violin Concerto in A major, KV.219, by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Composed in 1775, the work reflects the essential traits of the Classical style and presents interpretative challenges related to the use of historical versus modern instruments. Through a methodology that combines musicological research, formal analysis, comparative listening, and historical sources such as Leopold Mozart’s Violin Treatise, this study aims to offer a deep understanding of the melodic, harmonic, and structural elements of the piece. The goal is to propose well-founded interpretative guidelines that preserve the expressiveness and stylistic integrity of Mozart’s work, while respecting both its historical context and current performance possibilities.Item Análisis musical y reducción al piano de la partitura orquestal de cuerdas de la obra Cristales del compositor Jorge Oviedo(Universidad de Cuenca, 2024-03-04) Guallpa Oñate, Andrés Efraín; Saula Fuentes, Marco EstebanThe present research is composed of two fundamental aspects: the musical analysis of the work Cristales for violin and chamber orchestra by the Ecuadorian composer Jorge Oviedo Jaramillo; and its corresponding reduction to the piano of the orchestral score that accompanies the soloist violín. In the first one, a musical analysis will be made in order to understand the essence of the composer, as well as the different musical aspects that make up the work. Consequently, the second theme feeds back on the previous one by means of the elaboration of a piano reduction that preserves the characteristics of the original accompaniment. In this way, the present work aims to offer the academic public greater options for the interpretation of Oviedo's work.Item Arreglos de temas seleccionados del compositor Chuck Schuldiner para cuarteto de cuerdas y guitarra eléctrica(2020-02-26) Sánchez Vinueza, Fernando Juvenal; Saula Fuentes, Marco EstebanThrough the creation of arrangements the present work has the objective of the fusion of academic music with one of the sub genres considered the most extreme within the field of Heavy Metal, the same that will be analyzed from an academic point of view by means of a formal, structural and harmonic analysis, in the same way the arrangist techniques and extended techniques used for the creation of the same will be described. Although there are works that have fused academic music with popular music and we can even find a lot of examples related to Rock and Heavy Metal, this fusion with the more aggressive and extreme sub-genres of Heavy Metal has not been explored for this reason this work is a contribution to academic music specifically to the repertoire for string quartet and even means a possibility of the study of Extreme Metal from an academic musical perspective. Finally after making the arrangements we can conclude that the chamber music has a dynamic / sound spectrum so broad and complete that it has the ability to perform any type of music from something very slow and delicate to something strong and aggressive, on the other hand Extreme Metal nature shows a potential to be transcribed into these formats thanks to its rhythmic richness and virtuosity.Item Concierto de violín, musica de cámara y análisis interpretativo musical del repertorio(2009-11-11) Saula Fuentes, Marco Esteban; Mora Yanza, Jaime PatricioItem Henryk Szeryng-Enrique Espín Yépez, una genealogía pedagógica del violín(Universidad de Cuenca, 2024-02-20) Sacta Durán, Luis Manuel; Saula Fuentes, Marco EstebanThe following project involves a historical evaluation of the Ecuadorian composer and violinist Enrique Espín Yépez, with a focus on his contributions as a pedagogue in violin education.
