Item Factores asociados a la disfunción eréctil en pacientes varones que acuden al CETAD “La Gracia de Dios” de la parroquia Tenguel de la ciudad de Guayaquil en el período 2023(Universidad de Cuenca, 2024-04-15) Sarmiento Gavilanes, Mauricio Emanuel; Rodas Vanegas, María JoséBackground: Erectile dysfunction (ED) is the inability to achieve or maintain a firm erection for satisfactory sexual intercourse. Biological and psychosocial factors influence this disorder, with age and diseases such as cardiovascular conditions affecting its prevalence. Objectives: To determine the prevalence of ED and associated factors in patients attending the Specialized Center for the Treatment of People with Problematic Alcohol and Drug Use, "La Gracia de Dios," in the Tenguel parish of Guayaquil city. Methodology: A quantitative, analytical, cross-sectional approach was employed. The entire population (80 individuals) was included, and data collection utilized the Erectile Dysfunction Questionnaire (IIEF-5), Beck Depression Inventory-II (BDI-II), and Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI). SPSS software version 22.0 was used for data analysis, and bivariate analysis was conducted using the Mann-Whitney U test to explore associations between variables and ED. Results: The majority of participants were young adults, unmarried; a significant proportion (66.3%) presented with ED, with 21.3% classified as severe and 15% as moderate. Statistically significant associations were found between ED and age (p=0.04), diabetes (p=0.02), hypertension (p=0.00), and anxiety (p<0.001), but not with depression (p=0.16). Conclusions: ED is more common among individuals aged 20 to 39 years, and among singles; there is a high prevalence of severe ED. Risk factors such as diabetes, hypertension, and anxiety increase the likelihood of developing ED. Depression does not exhibit a significant association.Item Factores biosociales que intervienen en vel estado nutricional de la adolescente embarazada en el Centro de Salud N°1 del Distrito de Salud 01D01.(2015) Clavijo Gaibor, Ana Belén; Díaz Espinoza, Ana Gabriela; Sarmiento Gavilanes, Mauricio Emanuel; Vega Crespo, Bernardo José; Ñauta Baculima, Manuel JaimeOBJECTIVE: To determine the major social bio-factors involved in a nutritional status of adolescents during pregnancy and attending to prenatal care at Health Centre N◦1- District of Health 01D01 METHODOLOGY: A descriptive and quantitative study of teen mothers attended at the Health Centre N◦1 – District of Health 01D01 was performed. In order to get information, a survey with some social bio-variables obtained in the consultations was applied and validated. In most of the cases these adolescents were housewives - 46.2%; residents in Cuenca city (single) - 36.3%; with a complete secondary level - 46.2%. Following the assessment of nutritional status, it showed that a 30.8% of pregnant adolescents had a nutritional A category (underweight); a 27.5% a B category (normal); a prevalence of overweight was the 17.6% and obesity the 24.2%. According to the assessment of socio-economic status it was found that a 68.1% of teen mothers had a C socio-economic level; the 22% had a D level and the 9.9% had a B level. The levels A and E were not recorded. Any social bio-factors became associated with a nutritional status (p> 0.05).
