    Valoración del bajo peso, sobrepeso y obesidad en los niños y niñas de la escuela fiscal mixta Dora beatriz Canelos de la parroquia Sidcay. Cuenca 2010

    The present titled investigation “VALUATION OF the NUTRITIONAL STATE OF the NIÑOS/AS OF the BASIC EDUCATION OF the CORNER RIVER BASIN” is a work that based on the determination and exposition of the problem, and its incidence at Latin American, national and local level justifies its investigation in order to evaluate the nutritional state of niños/as of basic education of the corner River basin, which allowed to determine the presence us or not of low weight, overweight and obesity For the investigation 4 objectives considered and the main variables settled down; the sample in agreement with the applied formula went 63 niños/as of second to seventh basic year of education of the Cinnamon-coloured school “Dora Beatriz” of the Sidcay parish of the city of River basin. It is a study of cross section that allowed to determine the prevalence of bad nutrition in niños/as of Cinnamon-coloured the fiscal school mixed “Dora Beatriz”. For the harvesting of the information it was used the following instruments: form of survey on the socioeconomic condition that was applied to the parents of family of the subject children of the investigation, form for the registry of the anthropometry of the children, I am used in addition the tables to Index of Corporal Mass (IMC) and the curves of growth of the NCHS. The found results were: 54.03% have normal weight, 25.38% have low weight, 9.50% overweight and 11.08% obesity. On the basis of the obtained results a proposal was elaborated to orient on the foods that niños/as must consume in the bar and which they contribute to maintain the weight ideal of the boy or girl.
