The present curricular integration work is carried out in the Historic Center of Cuenca, which has been considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1999. This recognition has prompted government entities to prioritize its preservation, developing a series of guidelines and regulations to manage interventions in this area so that buildings maintain the vernacular style without restricting interventions or limiting the construction of new architecture. In this context, the GAD Cuenca decided to organize all buildings into six categories of heritage valuation, with the most disruptive being those classified as having Negative Impact, as it does not clearly specify the criteria followed to assign this valuation. The study of this issue will be conducted in the Gil Ramírez Dávalos parish and will be divided into four phases: theoretical foundation, data collection and analysis at the individual level of buildings with Negative Impact, evaluation concerning their architectural section, and the development of general criteria for cataloging these constructions. Some aspects to be covered when evaluating these properties will include height, colorimetry, and relation to the section, which will highlight the subjectivity that heritage valuations can present on various occasions. All this aims to optimally preserve the built heritage while adapting to the demands of today's society.
