Item Prevalencia de ansiedad y factores asociados en pacientes prequirúrgicos en el Hospital Vicente Corral Moscoso. Before surgery patients present elevated levels of anxiety which may even perjudice the recovery. General objective: Determine the prevalence of dissatisfaction and associated factors with surgical procedures in the Vicente Corral Moscoso Hospital on Cuenca 2016. Methods: An analytical cross-sectional study was conducted with a sample of 175, all preoperative patients who were atendance on external consultation of cirgury at the Vicente Corral Moscoso Hospital, as an instrument to evaluate anxiety and need for information, using the Amsterdam scale. Statistical analysis was performed in a statistical program SPSS version 15 for Windows. Results: The prevalence of anxiety in this sample was 64%, being higher in the following groups: younger patients with 19 years was 81.8%; male 68.8%; Urban origin 81%; Singles 77.6%; waiting time between diagnosis and surgery of less than 1 month was 73.7;patients working at the time of surgery 71.9%; Behaved as associated factors: waiting time between diagnosis and surgery less than 1 month, lack of family support, and lack of psychological support. Conclusions: preoperative anxiety is frequent in patients at the Vicente Corral Moscoso Hospital, which requires comprehensive management and reduced exposure to associated factorsItem Tumor carcinoide del pulmón. This is an oncologically valid procedure and it is also comparable to a pneumonectomy but with a lower functional impact in the lungs; it´s necessary to emphasize that this is one of the election procedures in the case of tumors of the bronchi or trauma sometimes obstructing the bronchi with few cases reported about using of this technique worldwide. In fact it is the first sleeve resection performed at the Vicente Corral Moscoso Hospital. The case of a patient with presence of a tumor mass obstructing the bronchial lumen of right lung is presented, it was diagnosed two years ago with flexible fibro-bronchoscopy so it proceed with surgery to unblock the airway, A lobectomy more sleeve resection was performed; supported in the literature about the validity of the procedure performed as cancer surgery, the surgical risks, and physiological effects on lung function
