    A study of descriptive performed in order to analyze the characteristics of urban transportation in the city of Cuenca. The sample was purposeful. We studied a total of 100 transport units and surveys were made to drivers, officials and users to determine the quality of service provided, the degree of satisfaction and security with users and academic and professional drivers and their assistants. It is concluded that 53 users are dissatisfied with the quality of service. Most users and carriers indicate that there is disrespect for the established stops. 55 show a user criterion unfavorable regarding security units. It is recommended further research on the subject of transport and culture demand that the authorities compliance with laws and ordinances.
