    This paper entitled "Importance of Learning Materials in Learning Mathematics in Second Year of Basic General Education" is a tool that will enrich activities fostering meaningful and lasting learning in children of this age, during different classes, training materials today is of great importance as it constitutes a link between what is being taught to the child's reality, ie when explaining the definition of what is subtraction, the student to manipulate play with the material in some way relates concretely what the rest in the same way also provides an opportunity to combine the activity and thought; develops his curiosity and in turn shares the experiences you get with the simple fact of seeing or touching the learning material, and thus a relationship will occur between new knowledge with previous strengthen their learning. It should take into account the role of the teacher in the teaching-learning process, because the student throughout their training requires the theoretical basis for my putting into practice what I learned in class. Likewise the teaching material provides an opportunity to enrich the teaching by the teacher and so will get a better result for the entire school year.
