The objective of this investigation was to compare the level of the laboral stress of the workers of a pharmacy franchise of Cuenca according to the different strategies of coping with it. The employee population was formed of 34 workers; the study had a quantitative range of non-experimental and of a descriptive type, comparative and transversal. To measure the levels of stress a survey was taken from the OIT-OMS and the inventory of strategies of coping. For the analysis of data the statistics is descriptive and inferential. As a result the mayor tendency towards the stress is in the strategy of the resolution of the problems, while the cognitive restructuring and auto criticism relates with low levels of stress. As far as the levels of stress in the population it represent low and mid-levels of stress and finally the strategy of coping used by the majority of the staff of the resolution of the problems. It is concluded that the workers in general have stress levels of medium and low levels, and a few with a higher tendency of stress, the favorite strategies for coping are the cognitive which are centered on emotions, the use of these strategies of the population of the study has a relation with the high levels of stress, but it is not conclusive if the use of these is precipitant to the factor of stress.
