    Densificar el Centro Histórico de Cuenca. Propuesta habitacional experimental de interés social en centros de manzana

    The Historic Center of Cuenca faces several problems related to the low population density. In the present project, an alternative focused on the mentioned topic is proposed by means of the design of a housing complex adaptable for social housing that meets the necessary requirements to densify the selected city block center and that also favors the self-sustainability of the city. The result is a design that meets the demands raised, giving the option to replicate it to other city block centers and projecting a consecutive increase in population density by 16% compared to the census carried out by INEC in 2010.
