    Depresión en pacientes con cáncer del Instituto de Lucha Contra el Cáncer SOLCA de Cuenca mayo a junio del 2005

    100 patients diagnosed with cancer, treated at the Institute for fighting cancer SOLCA Cuenca, between 25 and 65 years, who underwent interview and were administered the Beck Depression Test, in order to be studied detecting the degree of depression and its relation to some aspects of the socio-cultural status, time of diagnosis of the disease and the type of cancer sufferers. In the depressive evidenced trtastorno 91se, predominantly mild depression (severe depression 56. 10demostró and a 9th had symptoms of depression. It was found that the relationship between the degree of depression and marital status, gender, age and occupation of patients surveyed , not present statistically significant differences, which does not happen with time will debit the condition in which you can verify that there is depression in severe forms while it is early diagnosis. With the kind of Cancer the relationship was not significant by failing to define specific differences between the affected organs. The results allow to recommend conducting a psychological study in cancer patients for a more integrated treatment of them
