    Experiencias de ansiedad en estudiantes universitarios frente al proceso de admisión a la Universidad de Cuenca, 2020

    Anxiety is a problem that occurs frequently in human beings. Anxiety, in general terms, comes from Latin and Greek words that together mean concern for the unknown, compress or strangle; concept that has several categories, of which stand out: physiological anxiety, restlessness and social anxiety. The present research project aims to understand the anxiety experienced by university students in the psychology field while working on the admission process to the Universidad de Cuenca. It is also intended to explore and explain the experiences of physiological, cognitive, social anxiety, and institutionality which immerse in the university admission process. This study proposes a qualitative methodology, with a non-probabilistic sampling by reference and of voluntary participants 7 people participated, whose ages are between 18 to 22 years old. A semistructured interview was conducted to gather information. Once the data was collected, it was proceeded to be transcribed and the thematic analysis was carried out. The results analyzed showed that those investigated were located in one or more of the proposed categories and the appearance of a new one. With this study it was possible to comprehend and have knowledge of the anxiety experienced in the admission process to the university.
