Cartel político y memoria social. Una revisión de la historia política en el Ecuador
(Universidad de Cuenca, 2024-07-15) Pucha Criollo, Xavier Mauricio; Pacheco Ayora, Sonia Katterine
The political poster synthesizes both the social character of art and its communicative function through processes committed to the social environment, thus strengthening the construction of a social memory, which will be the focus point of this work that aims to awaken the national political memory as a popular denominator, applying techniques such as paste up as a technique typical of the urban scene of the city, a practice that is commonly censored in contrast to the classic propaganda and partisan poster, the same one that is socially legitimized, evidencing the two sides of the coin present at the political poster; the urban practice and the media strategy. The research dynamic is fed by a review by Ecuadorian democracy to set guidelines for the country's historical political scenario, selecting four government periods since the 1980s as contemporary periods that have an immediate impact on our current political scenario to be framed in four posters that They will be located in popular markets in the city of Cuenca to challenge the public in their daily lives
