    Conocimientos, actitudes y prácticas en el cuidado de pacientes con capacidades especiales. Subcentro de Salud el Cebollar, Cuenca 2018.

    Background: people with special abilities due to their condition, have dependency, so they require a caregiver, a person who will provide the assistance that they cannot do on their own (1). Objective: To determine the knowledge, attitudes and practices in the care of patients with special abilities who attend the El Cebollar Health Sub-Center. Materials and Methods: descriptive quantitative research was carried out in the community of El Cebollar, with a universe of 170 and a random sample of 70 participants. The research techniques were quantitative by means of the survey applied to caregivers of people with disabilities, the information processing was carried out in the SPSS version 25 program, for the analysis of the data, descriptive statistics with percentages and frequencies were used. Results: the average age of caregivers is 48.5 years, they are female (58.6%), married marital status (75.7%), secondary education (44.3%), occupation Housework (50%) and with a “medium” socioeconomic level (38.6%). On the other hand, people with disabilities with an average age of 45.3 years, female gender (52.9%), single marital status (54.3%), physical disability predominates (51.4%). Conclusion: the investigation allowed to determine that knowledge is scarce, its practices limited and have a learning attitude, about the care of the disabled patient.
