    Pruebas básicas de laboratorio clínico en niñas de 9-12 años de la Escuela Miguel Ángel Estrella del área de influencia del Centro de Salud No 2 de la ciudad de Cuenca, 2011

    We determined clinical basic laboratory tests in children aged 9 and 12 years of age who attend school Miguel A. Estrella, belonging to the area of influence of the Health Center № 2 of the city of Cuenca, in order to assess their health status. This descriptive observational study was performed in 160 children, representing a convenience sample, selected from a list of degree, whose average height is 150 cm and a weight of32.2Kg, informed consent was signed by representatives to take samples of children were obtained under biosafety standards and quality control, and processed in the Clinical Laboratory Diagnostic Center, Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Cuenca and the Vicente Corral Moscoso Hospital, the reagents used belong to the human house, the Sysmex KX-21N equipment was used for laser biometry. The averages obtained are: In blood count: white blood cell count 6566 ± 118.5 x mm3, red blood cell count 28.8 x ± 5175.6 mm 3, hematocrit 43.7 ± 0.2%, hemoglobin 14.8 ± 0.1 g/100 ml ., 339768.8 ± 5070.6 x Plateletsmm3 Blood Chemistry: Glucose 80.96 ± 0.5 mg/100 ml. Immunology: The 4.4% greater than 200 IU / ml. In the urinalysis test strip: 100% negativity in protein, bilirubin, glucose and normal urobilinogen, leukocytes 0.6% positive In the urinary sediment: 0.6% 2 crosses the blood, 0.6% 3 crosses of bacteria. In the stool samples: The 28.8% positive parasites, protozoacysts: 14.4% Ameba histolytica, Giardia lamblia 5.6%.
