Item Anteproyecto de un centro cultural para la ciudad de Santa Rosa, provincia de El Oro, Ecuador(2019-01) Bojorque Fuentes, Samantha Estefanía; Pereira Maldonado, Adilson Romario; Serrano Tapia, Alex DanielThe city of Santa Rosa is characterized by being strategically located in the center of the province of El Oro; it concentrates numerous cultural activities that identify it at a national level. Given the cultural potential of the city and the lack of a physical space that concentrates community activities of an artistic and artisanal nature, an agreement is established with the Municipality of Santa Rosa in order to propose a cultural facility that solves this problem. For the development of the proposal, it begins by studying the theoretical terms on Culture and Cultural Centers in order to obtain a solid idea of the meaning and influence of this type of facility in a city. Then, this theoretical knowledge is integrated with a review of the context of Santa Rosa and its cultural production to generate a project according to the needs of the population. The research stage is complemented with a more specific phase, which includes a study of cultural facilities and an urban-architectural analysis of the city. Through the case studies, we know the functionality and impact of a cultural center in cities with a similar context, while the strategies that will govern the design of the future project are constructed. Once the guidelines have been established, an urban analysis of the city is carried out with the purpose of choosing the ideal site for the edification. Then, the physical and natural pre-existences are studied to be considered in the design process. The proposal lays its foundations in the research and analysis phases that allowed to determine the guidelines to be followed for its execution. The equipment has a correct connection with the city and the distribution of its spaces respects pre-existing natural elements. Thanks to the flexibility achieved, the complex can be built in stages without representing a change in the formal solution. The Cultural Center for Santa Rosa is projected as a large public space for the city through its multifunctional services, living areas and recreation spaces; which, in addition to the exhibition of the cultural material of the population, it is proposed as a meeting point and social exchange.
